Music is a great Spanish teacher. First, because songs are short, it's easy to replay them to repeat a line that you didn't quite get (or that you really like alot!). The ease of repetition makes music great for learning pronunciation. In addition, lyrics have a conversational style. This makes hit songs a great source of everyday vocabulary....

Aviones de cristal, Alex Ubago's third CD, is fantastic as is this song. While the most obvious thing is the Spanish pronunciation, there are some beautiful metaphors -- barcos de papel mojado and aviones de cristal, to name just two.

Si no te hubieras ido sería tan feliz.... I really like this song, especially as done by Maná, although Marco Antonio Solis, who wrote the song, sings a really nice version as well. Si no te hubieras ido is a fantastic song and a great fun way to add to your vocabulary and learn new expressions. It's great exposure to pronunciation as well. ¡Qué se diviertan!
